St David’s Day

Alison was up at 5.30 having been woken early by the thought of cooking lots of pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. The children loved them as a before school treat and they certainly had plenty of toppings to choose from including nutella, lemon, sugar, golden syrup, maple syrup, blueberries, strawberries and banana.

I was off out with Juno not long after and we took the route to Remedy Oak golf course again before I did the same route, but a bit more on top, for a 5km run just afterwards. The drizzle is already here so the above is a photo from yesterday when we still had a bit of blue sky.

I've put in an insurance claim for the loss of freezer contents following storm Eunice and then cooked some barley and vegetable soup, hoovered, fed the birds, filled in a couple of holes in the dining room walls where I fixed the ventilator grill which was filthy and incorrectly installed so there were big gaps and am going back on the motorhome to continue its spring clean. It is in good shape but needs airing, sweeping and just general checking over.

Beach walk

We all seem to be ill. Maria's dance showcase on Saturday evening was great but since then it has been downhill. Alison has been in bed...
