I was in two minds about Parkrun on Saturday with the forecast now looking good at all, weather warning included. I parked at Potterne and then jogged to Moors Valley with the first spots of rain falling. By the time started parkrun it had become a steadier rain but nothing too much and I ended up running 6 seconds per mile faster than I had a fortnight earlier. The end of the run was in a downpour and I still had to jog back to Potterne, so it ended up as a 6.3 mile run and me completely soaked.
We were back at Moors Valley for the junior parkrun on Sunday, this time with me riding down and back with the 2km in between. It was a chilly ride but the run went well with both girls recording good times before we all made our way back to Woodlands for a family Sunday dinner.
On Saturday I'd lit the woodburner after a walk in the woods with Juno and we both had needed drying off. She was very good and she had her dog training class to look forward to on Sunday evening too.
Joe, Kate Evie, Amelia, Glen, Harry, Joseph and Joy joined us for dinner with Maria at dance until the early afternoon readying herself for the show at the end of October. It was a lovely time and we got out on the village green for a run around with Juno and up the ladder to collect plenty of apples from the front garden. We are looking to store them for the autumn and into the winter, something we've not tried before.
Puppy class was great. Juno did everything well but she was a little apprehensive when it came to meeting the other puppies. She seems very confident and full of herself but looks like she is a little hesitant at first.
