Woodlands walk with Grandchildren

Although it became sunny, the weather had turned chilly overnight and I was glad to get my run finished and to enjoy a hot coffee. I did 6.3 miles cross country in the main, taking me down to Verwood and back, slow and steady it has to be said.

Later in the morning Joe and Kate came over with Evie and Amelia and we went for adventures into the woods and then on to the park.

I have booked Alison and I a night in the motohome near Bideford for her birthday weekend, 24th April, so we can visit the RHS garden nearby and perhaps walk some of the Tarka the Otter trail the following morning before making our way home.

It looks like we will be off the Lyepol in early August too, staying at the cottage Kate and Joe have, something we can really look forward to if it is anything like last year. It was such a special few days there, like being thrown back into a different age, one without the trappings of maodern life but compensated for by the beach and fires and the river.

Beach walk

We all seem to be ill. Maria's dance showcase on Saturday evening was great but since then it has been downhill. Alison has been in bed...
