Bridie, Joseph and myself had a memorable day out in London watching Arsenal women defeat Tottenham women 1 - 0 at a packed Emirates stadium. Bridie's shirt gives away her allegiance and she loved seeing her favourite players up close.
We travelled up from Salisbury before walking to Leicester Square from Waterloo. The walk across the river was lovely and we managed to find a dry but cold day to enjoy the sights. The tube to Holloway Road was straightforward so we were there in good time, alloing the opportunity to explore the club store and the entire stadium concourse.
There were over 60000 people in the stadium but it was never somewhere that felt over crowded or even that busy, especially at full time with the fans puring out together. All very civilised. The journey back across London was equally trouble free and we made our train in good time.
Good result even with a below par performance, and a nice trip together for the three of us.
