Lyepole 2022

We've had so many trips over the course of the summer that we have become quite spoilt with beautiful locations but there is certainly something very special about the cottage next to the river Lugg in Shropshire where we have now visited three years in a row. The two journeys were good, much better than last year when we seemed to run into every road closure and diversion in the west of England. Juno coped very well and she absolutely loved her holiday being able to run off the lead for almost the entire visit, finally settling to a rest after three days!

The children loved the river, the rope swings, the inflatables and being able to build a dam using the stones on the beach which were also great for skimming. We had so many fires with the children increasingly confident in making and sustaining their fires.

The views are just incredible and the place so quiet that getting outside in the warm end of summer days is a real pleasure.

Beach walk

We all seem to be ill. Maria's dance showcase on Saturday evening was great but since then it has been downhill. Alison has been in bed...
