On Monday we were over at Boscombe for Evie's 8th birthday party where the family had hired a place which provided kitchen and space for games and the party tea, as well as ready access to the beach and sea. It was great fun and the rain stayed away which was even better. The day was very rushed as a whole with Joseph sleeping over on Sunday and being with us for the half term essentially, Peter McCaig visiting and dance almost every day in some form, starting on Monday with the first of Maria's individual sessions with Miss Lucy preparing her for the the grade 5 tap exam.
Peter brought Juno's sister, Laila, with him, the first time the dogs have been together since being puppies and then coming home together with us last summer. They were pleased to see each other and were soon play fighting with huge energy. It is interesting to see how similar they are. They are the same dog in character and mannersisms, mirroring one another. It is reassuring to see how Juno pulling on the lead isn't just her, it's her instincts, as is her submissive approach when meeting new dogs and people. The two of them behave in exactly the same way.
One difference is that Juno has not been fed from the table and she doesn't pester for food. Laila is keen to stand up and see what is on the table. Other than that, very little difference indeed.
