I got to Edmondsham first, a small village, which had some bunting up and evidence of sommething going on at the village hall later. From there I headed for Wimborne St Giles which I had expected to be full of flags and so on but it was very subdued and mainly around the village hall. Then on to Gussgae All Saints which was initially disappointing but did eventually have displays at the end of the village by the church. I headed on to Moor Crichel which is a hamlet with few buildings and no sign of the jubilee but it did have wonderful views down the avenue of trees either side of the road.
Witchampton was better and the school and community centre had been decorated to a degree. Best of all was Hinton Martell where they were preparing for a gathering by the fountain and there was plenty of bunting and flags about.
The post starts with two photos from Woodlands though and they are from just near us and show two of the jubilee planters which were part of a competition to have flower displays in red, white and blue. This encouraged a good deal of participation and it made the village look great.
