More allotment stuff

Alison and Maria were off to see Frozen in London today, along with Bridie and Joseph which had meant I was going to spend a day watching football and taking it easy, at least until our unexpected guests arrived. So it was I got on my bike early and set off for West Moors where I had a couple of hours weeding and raking before planting chard, spinach, beetroot, lettuce, carrot and transplanting a few stray strawberry plants.

As soon as I was back, Joe and I went to Morrisions with the girls before popping in to see Great Grandma, picking up some pasties for lunch and getting back for the Liverpool game. We then had a lovely walk, just shy of a mile and a half down to The Albion pub with the girls and Juno. Crane Valley golf course was looking in good trim and there was plenty to entertain the girls on the walk with birds, sheep, goats, chickens and Juno herself. After a couple of pints, we walked back for the Man City game and an evening in front of the TV rewatching the film of Pride and Prejduice which Maria loved.

Despite the travel problems, Frozen proved a smash hit with everyone, well worth the trip.

Beach walk

We all seem to be ill. Maria's dance showcase on Saturday evening was great but since then it has been downhill. Alison has been in bed...
