Alison and I were out with the dogs early this morning so we were able to see the sun rise before the rain set in and boy, was it cold rain too! There were plnty of jobs to be getting on with before taking the motorhome off for MoT which it failed due to the need for a new bearing on part of the rear drive prop. It's just to do with the rubber perishing, so nothing of real significance and it is already booked in for the job next week. The guy completing the test was very impressed with the bodywork, no rust and no problems which is good to hear.
I fitted a new mirror to my bike, front and back lights which are certainly good quality and will give me some peace of mind on the road, as well as mudguards. These don't seem to be fitted as standard today and on my road bike I didn't want any. However, this is a bit different so I ordered them and had the pleasure of trying to work out from a terrible instruction leaflet, just how to fit them. It was a job done in the end but I had to remove the front wheel to properly fit the guard there which wasn't in the instructions. Actually that one thing made a fiddly job easy and the bike really does feel ready for the road in a safe fashion.
Just back from colelcting Maria from dance and about to watch FA Cup football in front of fire in the utility room. It's been a while since I lit the woodburner and it is lovely having all those logs which got delivered before Christmas.
