This should be the last Friday of home school with Maria returning next Weds, a couple of days later than others due to staggered return chosen by the school. The work she has been set has been great and she has had regular feedback which has encouraged her. There is no doubt she would refer to carry on as is, if she had her way, given that she can start early and finish early. However, it will do her good to get back amongst her friends and ready for the transition to QE in September.
I was up and off early again this morning after managing just four miles on the bike yesterday due to circumstances where we all ended up at the dentist at various times. I got 5km done before breakfast and the sun was peeking through the trees. All this whilst listening to 'In Our Time' on 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner'.
The book continues to sell, albeit more slowly now. The readership will be family and friends, almost exclusively for now but I am awaiting a couple of reviews which could be helpful in promoting a wider readership which could then generate a little momentum. That's the hope anyway but there is no pressure, I can relax knowing that someone is reading it at least.
