Having dropped Joseph at school, Maria and I focused on her home learning. She did a great job working through French, Humanities, Art, Maths and English. She'd completed the Science a day early which meant she got to finish all the tasks by the end of the morning.
The French work saw her researching a French speaking country and she chose Canada. I have learnt that Canada has the longest coastline in the world. It is famous for scenery, ice hockey and maple syrup. The Humanities is linked to work on China and the Art involved constructing a spinning disc which made images appear to be moving.
I mamaged to get out for a run and completed 3 and a bit miles in the freezing cold. The main concern during the day was about the motorhome which was in for MoT. It had run out in Oct but we felt it was off the road in the drive and there was no likelihood of taking it out, so no point in spending on an PoT which would be worthless for a lengthy period. It meant the battery ran down though and I needed to charge it before setting off. Thankfully the charging did the trick and off I went. The motorhome sailed through and passed without problem which ought to have been the case given it has only done 1800 miles with us over the year and only 2500 in four years! I was very pleased and we're going out in it tomorrow.
I got a 3 mile walk to Moors Valley in whilst waiting for the test and popped in for some things to make tea. The children had wanted pizza or lasagne so I did both and you can see them above. Maria has a separate pizza as she isn't keen on onion or peppers or mushrooms. She and Joseph loved the tea. It was lovely to hear how much they enjoyed their food. Makes the effort worthwhile.
