Busy on the allotment

It has been very busy since our return from Lyepol with plenty of cooking, gardening and a variety of jobs ticked off, as well as keeping the children happy.

I have made another big batch of hummus and a batch of vegetable chilli using the soaked butter beans, kidney beans and chickpeas. That was followed by repairing the worst of the scratches from the windows and panel of the m/h which turned out very well. You wouldn't know they were there from a few yards away now thanks to the acrylic scratch repair kit and the wet/dry paper used to prepare the surface. I was also able to effect a repair to the blower temperature control which involved removing the radio which involved going on you tube to find out how. I had to cut four lengths of clothes hanger to insert into the holes on the sides of the radio and to pull out whilst pushing outwards. It worked!

I also had a ride down to Joy's to do some hedge cutting and vegetable garden tending before riding on to the allotment. I did lots of weeding and watering and planted a few more seeds of beetroot, lettuce and radish, as well as trying the turnip once more. Now we are armed with more netting of differing types, I feel more confident about the germination and survival of the seedlings.

Plenty of exercise therefore and plenty of fresh air.

Today I was up early to walk the dog and then take Alison's car down to Verwood for MoT and service, before walking to Morrisons and back home across the golf course. The easy day planned turned right round with a phone call meaning we had Evie and Amelia, along with Joseph. Plenty to do which has prevented me from going back over the trip to Lyepol as yet.

Next is Maria to dance from 4.30 - 7.15 with a run in between.
