Plymouth trip

We had a two day visit to Plymouth over the Bank Holiday and managed to get quite a bit achieved in Morag's garden during that time. We started in the afternoon by trimming down the foot tall grass covering the front garden (a lot taller in places!) and then started taking off the top layer of turf from the lawn and slinging that over to the raised bed on the right hand side of the garden. It was soon piled high and looking pretty messy but we had to call it a day as the rain started to pour down.
After an evening watching White Noise 2, we were out and about early on Monday in warmish sunshine and finished taking the turf off before digging the garden over again. Jamie leveled it off with the rake and we smoothed out the pile of disposed turf before covering it with black liner to encourage it to rot down over the next couple of months.
Meanwhile at the back of the house, Morag, Alison, Wayne, Charlotte, Emily, Grace, Rochelle and Glen were sorting out rubbish and the back lawn as everyone mucked in together to get as much done as possible. Chrissie came over with Lilly, just a few weeks old, and we got a lot done including some repairs to the side gate.
We had a good journey back and I took Glen to the hospital to give the crutches back as he has recovered from his injury at school last week.

Digging for the harvesting

I was completely wiped out after yesterday's exertions with a run, dog walks and then a few hours at W allotment digging over beds ready...
