We had a great time away for half term and enjoyed the massive cottage where lots of us stayed, some in the farmhouse section and others in the Georgina house part. There was a lovely conencting door between the two which looked like a bookcase when shut and it meant there were so many places to explore.
Some of us walked down to Coombe Martin which was 2.5 miles and explored the beach which included a 16m long tunnel dug into the rock during the 19th century when they were looking for minerals to exploit. It appears there was nothing found and the digging stopped.
One the way back we stopped at the Pack of Cards pub and stayed for 4 or 5 pints and had a good laugh together before getting lifts back to the house. In the evening we got the fire going and had a late night.
