Dog walking

We were out with the dogs and the girls yesterday, trying to get the younger ones more used to Rag. They are less familiar with him but a few walks and a bit more time with him will reassure them, I am sure. Both he and Juno enjoyed their wet walk round the fields and into the trees near Martins Farm. Joseph is very confident with both Rag and Juno and loves to train them with treats.

I got out in the motorhome to colelct the new bikes from Halfords. I'd planned for the 6th but they were ready early. They fitted onto the motorhome easily and then I got going with adjusting my new bike to ensure a comfortable and efficient ride. With it being my first ebike I wasn't sure what to expect but having now ridden it to Verwood and back, 8.5 miles, I can say I feel exercised but nowhere near the level I'd have experienced riding that distance at 15mph on average including the big hill from Verwood back home. Definite advantage having the assistance but it is still a decent effort and is really worthwhile in encouraging you to get out and about.

The decorations have come down this morning leaving more space but it looks as bare as is always the case after Christmas. We will adjust soon of course.
