I'm in recovery after the 51 miles at the weekend but have managed close to 9000 steps during the day which is good sign of returning normality. That meant I did a couple of short walks and cooked the tea, roast curry cauliflower, curried roast vegetables and a tofu curry with basmati rice. Alison and I also got to grips with the utility room which is now without Maisy which allows us to feed the cats with their bowls on the floor. Maisy would have scoffed the lot. That then leads to cleaner work surfaces.
I was delighted to be able to attend the 6 a side game starring the Beermen, my old team, and they put on a spectacular display winning 5 - 1, conceding with the last kick of the game to only slightly mar the festival of football. I'd remembered to take some photos and got a couple of the goals on video too.
Dom, Matt and myself had a good catch up in the London Tavern afterwards. It was a real pleasure to see them and hear news of their families and their activities.
