Amelia

We have had our weekly day with Amelia whilst Joe and Kate are both working and it has been busy. Maisy has been slowing down for a while but the last few days have seen quite a marked deterioration in her mobility. She couldn't get up this morning and had no appetite and that prompted a trip to the vet with us fearing the worst.

However, Maisy has perked up and we have been given anti-inflammatories to give her and paracetamol too and we will see how that helps over the next week or so. The vet said what I did on social media the other day, offering her a treat brings her out of herself and she seems quite energetic, certainly worth seeing how the medication helps.

From there we were off to the allotment, dodging showers and repairing the damage to my bean poles caused by the recent gales, recovering bits and pieces that had been blown about and planting out some further produce.

Today it was the main crop potatoes and the potted on runner beans, with Alison getting help putting in the tomato plants. These did incredibly well last year, so we are trying again.

We then took a trip to Cranborne for the school run in the motorhome which Amelia enjoyed playing in while Alison managed to have a sleep!
