Over the next few days we kept the fire going almost all of the time, chopping logs as we went, found new projects to engage the little ones such as building a small harbour so that the water collected in a natural pool which could warm up a little and playing board games for hours on end.
We are certainly looking forward to going back again one day.
The return journey was pretty straightforward after we managed to navigate round a road closure requiring a bit of a detour. Bridie did an excellent job in finding an alternative route which lost as little time as possible. This time we went via the smaller roads, through to Swindon and Marlborough, as the ones near Winchester, Southampton and Bournemouth promised to be far busier, it being the hottest day of the year so far.
Again, I enjoyed driving the motorhome and found it more comfortable than the seat in the Fiesta, depsite it taking the best part of four hours to get home.
