Paris Day 4 Part 2
During a break in our visit to the Louvre, we took in a picnic outside in the sunshine with Maria slowly sliding down the bank, had a meal outside in the shade in the Tuilleries and walked to the Place de la Concorde. The obelisk is several thousand years old and marks the centre of what used to be the main site for executing the nobles and enemies of the revolution with the guillotine being put to regular use.
