Dartmoor Day Two Part Three
Having already done lots of walking in the morning, we went over to Plymbridge in the afternoon with the girls and had a walk along to the Cann Valley viaduct which overlooks the quarry where the peregrine falcons nest. There was a raven nest as well with 4 chicks clearly visible, mouths agape waiting to be fed. It was quite spectacular when a buzzard flew over only to find itself under attack from the ravens. The female peregrine was eating a pigeon presumably brought by her mate as she incubated the eggs for a while before flying into the tress.
Grace was keen to get in the water and ended up with wet feet before we played some games on the old railway line.
