Maria and the horse

It was a fresh morning and just right for a walk around Woodlands. Maria got all dressed up for the chilly wind and enjoyed getting out the house as she's been a bit under the weather this week. She has got into making horse 'clip-clop' sounds recently and put them to good use as we saw the horse over the road from us.
There's also a view back to the house where you can see the skip which has been put to good use by the locals. The builder had put his old washing machine in there and Alison saw a guy stop and take it out before loading it into his car! Then some kids started emptying the polystyrene and throwing it all the road. Other bits of rubbish were used to throw at passing cars which prompted the neighbour over the road to call the police. We hadn't been aware of any problem but the rubbish inside seems to have attracted them.

Building work

As you will see, the building work is carrying on apace and it generally looks a mess. However, things are taking shape and we are getting a sense of how much more space we'll have.

The back of the shed looks like a building site with all the old rubbish there waiting for the skip to be emptied. We've got some things you look at and wonder why you've never thrown them before. The view before that is of the new entrance to the back garden. I stepped into the road so you get an idea of the steps that have been put in and the shed I put up yesterday. I was surprised and pelased to find it there still this morning after a night of heavy rain and gusting winds. There's also the door into the old shed, utility room to be.
The middle photo is taken stood where the coal bunker used to be looking toward the computer room and you can see the door which has been added to allow access meaning no more needing to go outside to get into the utility room. Remember, this is where the gap between house and shed was.
The next picture is of the computer room which is a mess at the moment. Lots of stuff from the shed is in there at the moment along with the dogs. The dust is getting under the door as well as from work on the brick work anyway.

Another day in the sun

It was another lovely day yesterday and Juno and I got out to have a run, a bit further this time, 2.25 miles, before I went to the cinema t...
