Swanage
Not a bad day to choose for a trip to Swanage. We were out of the house early to avoid the traffic and parking problems, if at all possible. Despite the early start, it was already warm and we got to Swanage at just before 8.30 with plenty of space to get parked up and make some breakfast before walking the few minutes from the park to the beach.
As seems to be fairly common, someone came over to have a chat about the motorohome, having noticed the number of us on board and wondering whether the sleeping facilities would be spacious for her 6'8" partner!
We had the trolley we bought for the Larmer Tree to help carry all the bits and pieces down to the shore and it proved a godsend, meaning we got the windbreak, two cool boxes and bags, five foldaway chairs, inflatable toys, buckets and spades, two body boards and towels carried over in one journey. That's in addition to the dinghy pictured above.
The boat was great. It's quite easy to get pumped up and we were out on it a few times, just enjoying relaxing in the gentle rise and fall of the calm waters.
It was so warm we found getting in no problem and Jospeh was in for hours and hours on end, rolling around in the shallows and swimming with increased confidence.
